自2010年始，PMI（中国）项目管理大会已经成功举办了四届，每届会议均有超过千人参会，它已成为亚太区规模最大的项目管理盛会之一。而这离不开各界项目管理从业者及组织的大力支持与鼓励。我们衷心感谢国家外国专家局、IBM、微软、柯马、华为技术有限公司、神华集团有限责任公司、中国石油化工集团公司、中国海洋石油总公司等诸多机构对大会所做的贡献。
据2014年PMI职业脉博调查显示，只有56%的战略计划达到了其最初目标和商业意图，如此的低绩效导致组织在项目和项目集上的资金损失高达11%。而高绩效组织的资金流失比低绩效组织少将近12倍，其中重视管理和发展人才是很重要的原因。目前中国已有超过百万人接受了项目管理的培训，PMP（项目管理专业人士）人数已约10万。和全世界项目管理从业者一样，一方面他们面临着因日趋复杂的市场经济环境而逐渐提高的能力要求，另一方面也由于目前巨大的人才缺口与PMP认证的广泛认可拥抱着难得的机遇。

Starting from 2010, PMI (China) Congress has been held for four years, each year attracting over one thousand attendees. PMI (China) Congress has become one of the biggest project management events in Asia Pacific region, thanks to the unwavering support and encouragement from project management practitioners in every industry, as well as from many organizations including State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, IBM, Microsoft, Comau, Huawei, Shenhua Group, Sinopec Corp., and China National Offshore Oil Corp..
According to PMI’s 2014 Pulse of Profession®, only 56% of the strategic initiatives achieved its original goals and business intent, which leads to 11%capital lost on organization’s investment in projects and programs. In this bleak projection, high-performing organizations stand out with 12 times less of capital lost comparing with low performers, and we found that one of the key reasons is their focus on talent management. Till now in China over one million people have received project management training, with more than 80,000 PMP® certified. Like all the project management practitioners around the world, China’s PMPs are now under increasing pressure of capability requirements due to the complicated market and economic conditions, and meanwhile are facing extraordinary opportunities owing to the widening talent gap and the wide spread recognition to PMP® credential.
The success of last year’s Congress in Shanghai let us see the robust development of project management in Yangtze River delta and its great potential, thus we are glad to announce this year’s Congress to be held in Shanghai again, continuing providing valuable platform for project management communication. The Congress will be held in the Shanghai International Convention Center on Sep 20-21.
